There was a defect in the journal that the seller noticed and sent the replacement along with the 2 defective notebooks journal as they already had his name personalized on them. I thought that was wonderful. I don't like to see waste and I assure you defect or no the journals will be used for the purpose they were meant. It was a great gift for our Grandson to journal his way through the US AF Academy.
